On November 20, a presentation of the results of the National Study dedicated to issues of violence in educational institutions and child protection in Kyrgyzstan will take place in Bishkek.

The study was conducted by the Ministry of Education with the support of public foundations.

A total of 1,046 participants were surveyed, including schoolchildren aged 10 to 17, parents, educators, school directors, and specialists in child rights protection.

Minister of Education Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva noted that the ministry is aware of the problems of violence. In order to combat this phenomenon, inspector offices for juvenile affairs have been opened in every school, and "panic buttons" have been implemented in electronic diaries.

"This is a server that guarantees anonymity and protection of personal data. Surveillance cameras connected to the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Situational Center have been installed in 80% of educational institutions," she reported.

Additionally, the minister emphasized the importance of culture and responsibility on the part of parents. "We can dismiss a director for incidents that occur during classes, but we cannot hold them accountable for situations that happen outside of school hours," Kendirbaeva added.
