Since 2017, there have been no significant nationwide studies in Mongolia regarding the issue of violence. A. Adilbish, the secretary and head of the Secretariat of the National Committee on Gender Equality, emphasized the importance of collaboration between international organizations, the government, and civil society to conduct such research.

During the discussion on "Protecting Women Journalists from Gender-Based Violence with the Help of Artificial Intelligence," held on November 3, 2025, at the Information Center of the Institute of Press, she noted: "Currently, the legal framework does not contain clear definitions of forms of gender-based violence related to technology. This gap has contributed to an increase in such violence and, in some situations, allowed perpetrators to evade responsibility. We have focused on gender sensitivity for the past three decades, and now it's time to move towards gender-sensitive policies, planning, and concrete actions."

The discussion was organized by the National Committee on Gender Equality and the Institute of Press, in collaboration with the National Network for the Protection of Freedom of Speech. The event was timed to coincide with the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists.
