Recently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the country's embassy in the United Arab Emirates received an appeal from a citizen who requested an explanation for the increasing number of refusals to issue work and tourist visas for men from Kyrgyzstan. A copy of this letter is available to the editorial staff of Kaktus.media.

Addressing the authorities, the author of the letter noted that over the past two to three years, especially in recent months, there has been a rise in visa refusals, although there are no official restrictions from the UAE. This issue has already been raised in the media, including in publications from 2024, which reported on mass refusals for men from Central Asia.

The author of the letter cited his own case: while in the UAE on a tourist visa since August 2025, he passed the selection process and received a job offer from one of the leading hotels in the country. However, his application for a work visa was rejected without explanation. He also mentioned that similar refusals were received by other compatriots from Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, as reported by representatives of the HR departments of employers.

The letter emphasizes that despite the absence of formal bans for citizens of Kyrgyzstan, a situation has arisen in which obtaining visas for men has become difficult, and work visas are often denied without any explanations. According to the applicant, this limits the employment opportunities for Kyrgyz citizens abroad, creates difficulties for those already in the UAE, and may lead to the necessity of leaving the country, even when there are official job offers from employers.

In this regard, the author of the appeal urged the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan to send an official request to the competent authorities of the UAE to clarify the reasons for the refusals, as well as to present an official position on this situation and consider the possibility of consular support for citizens whose applications were rejected without explanations. It is also suggested to discuss with the Emirati side the conditions for obtaining visas to make them more transparent and non-discriminatory.

As the author points out, his tourist visa expires in early December, and he will be forced to leave the UAE, despite having fulfilled all necessary requirements and having a job offer.
