According to statistical data, men are responsible for 50% of infertility cases in couples. This was reported by urologist-andrologist Kalys Kyrbashiev on the air of "Birinchi Radio"

The specialist noted that due to mentality, many men avoid seeing doctors and often blame their partners. "Statistics show that the causes of infertility are divided equally," he added.

"When should one start worrying about infertility? We recommend that couples try for one year. If pregnancy does not occur, it is necessary to consult specialists. Women should see gynecologists, and men should see urologists-andrologists for testing. If any problems are identified, appropriate treatment should begin," Kyrbashiev explained.

He also added that during examinations, many diseases are found in men. For example, varicocele, various hormonal disorders, and diseases that can negatively affect testosterone levels or sperm quality can be causes of infertility.

The specialist emphasized that there are many factors affecting infertility, and it is important to establish the correct diagnosis in order to begin adequate treatment. He noted that about 80% of cases can be successfully treated with medicine.

Kyrbashiev urged men not to self-medicate and to seek professional help instead of using folk remedies.

Previously, the urologist also shared information about the increasing number of consultations regarding potency issues.
