According to statistics, men's health issues are the cause of 50% of infertility cases in couples. This was reported by urologist-andrologist Kalyis Kyrbashov on the air of "Birinchi Radio."

Kyrbashov noted that there are many factors contributing to infertility, including varicocele, hormonal disorders, and other diseases that can lower testosterone levels or worsen sperm quality.

“In our society, many men are reluctant to see doctors and often shift the blame onto women. We recommend waiting a year after starting a life together, and if pregnancy does not occur during this time, couples should consult specialists: the woman should see a gynecologist, and the man should see a urologist-andrologist. If problems are identified, treatment should begin,” he added.

He also emphasized that in some cases, men can be completely infertile, and in such situations, medicine may be powerless.

“Nevertheless, about 80% of infertility cases are treatable. Depending on the diagnosis, the recovery process may take about a year and yield positive results. This is a very delicate topic for men, and psychological support is important both from medical personnel and from loved ones,” concluded Kalyis Kyrbashov.
