In order to protect the rights of citizens of Kyrgyzstan, on December 16, employees of the General Consulate of the Kyrgyz Republic in Yekaterinburg conducted a scheduled visit to the Center for Temporary Detention of Foreign Citizens, which is subordinate to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, during the meeting with Kyrgyz citizens, issues related to compliance with local legislation, details of migration registration, and the possibility of appealing court decisions were discussed.

Currently, there are 40 Kyrgyz citizens in the Center, 15 of whom are planned to be returned to their homeland on the nearest flight.

The Consulate also received inquiries from citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic who are in the inter-municipal department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs "Asbestovsky." Consulate employees promptly established contact with representatives of this institution.

Moreover, due to overcrowding in the temporary detention center in Yekaterinburg, eight citizens of Kyrgyzstan awaiting forced deportation were temporarily placed in this institution. In this regard, the General Consulate sent a request for the possibility of visiting and organizing meetings with these citizens. After completing all necessary procedures, they will also be sent to Kyrgyzstan in the near future,” the statement said.
