In Ulan-Ude, a meeting took place between Yulia Zhambalova, the Commissioner for Human Rights in Buryatia, and Azamat Omuraliev, the consul and head of the Kyrgyzstan embassy office in Irkutsk.

The main outcome of this meeting was an agreement on mutual cooperation to protect the rights of Kyrgyz citizens who are residing and working in Buryatia, as reported by the ombudsman's office.

The parties also discussed specific measures to strengthen cooperation, including the exchange of experiences and joint activities aimed at increasing the legal literacy of Kyrgyz citizens, as well as preventing potential violations of their rights and freedoms.

"This meeting demonstrated the importance of direct dialogue at the regional level to ensure a decent existence for every person, regardless of their citizenship," the statement noted.
