Participants discussed issues related to the increase in cases of internet fraud and the spread of so-called "dropper" schemes, which cause significant material damage to citizens and undermine trust in financial institutions.
During the discussion, law enforcement officials presented information on the most common types of internet fraud, the mechanisms for their implementation, and measures to protect citizens from the illegal actions of criminals. Representatives of the banking sector, in turn, voiced proposals aimed at strengthening security measures when servicing clients, timely identification of suspicious financial transactions, and promptly informing competent authorities.
As a result of the event, the parties agreed to intensify joint informational and explanatory work, conduct preventive campaigns among citizens, and implement measures aimed at increasing the level of digital culture and legal awareness of the population.
