The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic once again reminds about the spread of telephone fraud. Fraudsters often impersonate bank employees, law enforcement officials, or other government agencies, trying to extract personal data, bank card numbers, and confirmation codes received via SMS under various pretexts.
The agency emphasizes that such deceptive schemes are aimed at stealing money from citizens.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs strongly advises:
• not to disclose personal information, card details, and SMS codes to strangers;
• to avoid transferring money based on instructions from unknown individuals;
• if suspicious calls are received, to immediately contact the nearest police station or call 102.
The Ministry also reminds that genuine bank employees and government officials never request personal information and confirmation codes over the phone.
