In schools of Kyrgyzstan, the 80th anniversary of the UN is celebrated

“Students should be proud that our country is a full member of the UN”


Today, events and lessons dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the United Nations are taking place in all educational institutions of Kyrgyzstan. Students are learning about the significance of the UN in maintaining peace, international cooperation, and protecting human rights, as well as considering Kyrgyzstan's contribution to the organization's activities. This was reported by the press service of the government.

In Bishkek, a class hour was held at secondary school No. 100 named after Baidildy Sarnygoev with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov and the UN Resident Coordinator in Kyrgyzstan Antje Grave.

“UN Day is celebrated in educational institutions so that students in Kyrgyzstan have an understanding of the United Nations and are proud that the country is a member. Each of us, whether adult or child, is responsible for protecting the environment, respecting human rights, and strengthening peace on the planet,” noted Edil Baisalov.

At the event, students showcased their creative works, stands, and brief presentations dedicated to the significance of the UN for peace and the future of youth.
