An 85-kilometer traffic jam formed on the Russian 'Baikal' highway
On the section of the 'Baikal' highway between Kultuk and Vydrino, on the border of the Irkutsk region and Buryatia, a traffic jam of about 85 kilometers has formed, reports Meduza.

The congestion was caused by adverse weather conditions and violations of traffic rules by truck drivers. As a result, people had to wait for over nine hours at a temperature of minus 18 degrees.

Representatives of the 'Southern Baikal' road management noted that such a situation complicates the work of special equipment necessary for clearing and treating the road surface from snow.
