Since the beginning of this year, specialists from the Main Department for Ensuring Road Safety (GUOBDD) have recorded nearly 1 million violations of traffic rules and sent about 140,000 vehicles to impound lots.

These figures were announced at an operational meeting held by Azenbek Kozukeev, the head of GUOBDD. The department reported on the results of its work over the past ten months.

During the meeting, Kozukeev expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of regional leaders in areas with high accident rates. He urged them to strengthen preventive measures, assist drivers, and pay special attention to the safety of children and adolescents on the roads.

Additionally, the head of GUOBDD emphasized the need to implement digital services for citizen services, improve official discipline, and prepare in advance to ensure order and safety on the roads during elections.

It was also noted that there is an increase in traffic load in major cities. To reduce the number of accidents, GUOBDD plans to expand the network of cameras for recording violations and introduce additional digital services for drivers.
