The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced the completion of the evacuation of a citizen who found herself in a military camp in Myanmar. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the operation took place on December 10, 2025, with the assistance of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Malaysia and the Honorary Consulate in Thailand.

Preliminary data indicates that this citizen became a victim of a fraudulent scheme related to labor migration and was illegally held in the camp after believing promises of high-paying work.

In 2025, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 12 citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic were successfully returned home from Myanmar.

Currently, the law enforcement agencies of the country are addressing issues related to combating illegal migration and fraud.

The Ministry expressed gratitude to the authorities of Myanmar and Thailand, as well as to the Embassy of Kazakhstan and the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Bangkok for their assistance in organizing the safe return of the citizen to her homeland.

Furthermore, the Ministry strongly urges citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic to be particularly cautious when evaluating job offers abroad, especially if they come from unofficial sources.

In case of questions or doubts, it is recommended to promptly contact diplomatic missions and consular institutions for consultations and support.
