Azamat Nurmat uulu, who was detained in Turkey, has returned to his homeland — Kyrgyzstan. This was announced by the teacher himself in an interview broadcasted by "Azattyk".

According to his accounts, on December 11, the Kyrgyz consulate in Istanbul held negotiations with the Turkish authorities, as a result of which he was allowed to leave the country. However, the court proceedings regarding his case will continue: the next hearing is scheduled for the end of January 2026, where Nurmat uulu's lawyer will be present.

It is worth noting that on May 9, a court in Gaziantep province released Nurmat uulu from pre-trial detention and placed him under house arrest.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan had previously reported on its work regarding this case and on sending a verbal note to the Turkish embassy in Kyrgyzstan.
