In the run-up to the IBA World Boxing Championship, which starts on December 3 in the United Arab Emirates, two athletes from Kyrgyzstan have received visas to participate in the tournament.

Previously, the Boxing Federation reported that there were 12 boxers listed in the application for the competition, but visas were issued to only two of them — Omar Livaza (category up to 63.5 kg) and Almaz Orozbekov (category up to 67 kg), as well as the head coach Daniyar Tölögön uulu.

Currently, the team is already in Dubai and is actively preparing for the start of the competition.

Late on the evening of December 1, information emerged that visas were also issued to Omurbek Bekzhigit uulu (up to 80 kg) and Myrzakir Koshaliyev (over 92 kg), although the Boxing Federation has not yet confirmed this information.

IBA President Umar Kremliev has appealed to the governments of the UAE and Kyrgyzstan for assistance in resolving issues related to the participation of Kyrgyz boxers in the championship in Dubai.

“We are looking forward to the Kyrgyzstan team at the World Championship. Currently, we are actively working with the UAE government on visa support for our athletes so that they can arrive on time and participate in the tournament. We also hope for the support of the Kyrgyz government so that the boxers can represent their country with dignity in the ring,” Umar Kremliev noted in an interview with "Match TV."
