Kyrgyzstan Athletes Won 10 Medals at the World Championship in Belt Wrestling

From November 26 to 29, the World Championship in Belt Wrestling took place in the city of Fujairah, located in the United Arab Emirates. In this prestigious tournament, Kyrgyz athletes managed to win a total of 10 medals, including 2 gold, 2 silver, and 6 bronze. This was announced on November 29 by representatives of the Agency for Physical Culture and Sports.

More than 300 wrestlers from 35 countries participated in the competition.

The Kyrgyzstan national team in belt wrestling is led by head coach Nurbek Kozhobekov, while the senior coach is Tamchy Esenbek uulu.

The results achieved by Kyrgyz athletes are as follows:

In freestyle:

• Akhrorbek Abdukayimov (100 kg) - 1st place;

• Bekturkan Kozhomuratov (90 kg) - 1st place;

• Myktybek Omorzak uulu (82 kg) - 2nd place;

• Zhorobek Chynysov (68 kg) - 2nd place;

• Mirlan Osmonaly uulu (75 kg) - 3rd place;

• Bayaman Abidinov (57 kg) - 3rd place;

• Myrzaiym Shaibekova (66 kg) - 3rd place.

In classical style:

• Bayaman Myktybekov (100 kg) - 3rd place;

• Manas Usunov (82 kg) - 3rd place;

• Abubakir Shamsiyev (75 kg) - 3rd place.
