Kyrgyzstan won two medals at the U-23 World Wrestling Championship

From October 25 to 29, the World Wrestling Championship for athletes under 23 years old took place in Novi Sad, Serbia, where the Kyrgyzstan youth team achieved significant success. A total of 10 sets of medals were contested in various weight categories.

The team, consisting of seven wrestlers, managed to reach the podium, winning a silver and a bronze medal.

The results of the Kyrgyz athletes are as follows:

Up to 57 kg: Mukhammedrasul Saliev - 9th place

Up to 61 kg: Omurbek Asan uulu - silver medal

Up to 65 kg: Bilol Sharip uulu - bronze medal

Up to 70 kg: Adis Rakhat uulu - 8th place

Up to 74 kg: Baytemir Tuleberdiev - 13th place

Up to 86 kg: Mukhammed Abdullaev - 25th place

Up to 92 kg: Ulukbek Soorombekov - 14th place.

Representatives of the Wrestling Federation of Kyrgyzstan emphasized that the successful performances of the youth team at this world tournament are an important step in preparing athletes for adult international championships and highlight the high potential of young wrestlers.

Kyrgyzstan has shown that its wrestlers are capable of successfully competing on the world stage, confirming the country's reputation for strong traditions in youth wrestling.
