The European Commission has stated that citizens of Russia will no longer be able to obtain multiple Schengen visas. This new measure will require Russians to submit a new visa application for each trip to EU countries, ensuring a more thorough and regular review of all applications, as reported in the official statement.

According to information published earlier in Politico, the European Union plans to tighten visa policy for Russians, which will effectively lead to the cessation of issuing multiple Schengen visas, except for certain humanitarian cases.

The day after this news, the French embassy in Moscow denied the information about the EU's plans, calling it "unfounded" and confirming that "France continues to adhere to its previous visa policy."
