CSTO refuted information about Tajikistan's request for assistance
In its statement, the organization noted that due to the emergence of false information in a number of Telegram channels, including "Eurasian Briefing," the Tajik side did not appeal to the CSTO for any support regarding the incidents that occurred on November 26 and 30, 2025.
Furthermore, the CSTO emphasized that Tajikistan's interaction with partners within the CSTO on issues related to strengthening the border with Afghanistan is carried out within the framework of an intergovernmental program that was approved at the Collective Security Council session in 2024 in Astana.
It is worth recalling that at the end of November, there were two incidents when the territory of Tajikistan was shelled from the Afghan side, resulting in the deaths of five Chinese citizens. The President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, condemned these provocative actions and instructed to take measures to prevent similar events in the future. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the republic also called on the Afghan government to take the necessary measures to ensure stability and security at the border.
