The Tajik State National Security Committee (GKNB) has called on the Taliban to take action against those responsible for the murder of Chinese citizens at the Tajik-Afghan border.

According to a statement published today by the GKNB, at 18:45 on November 30, an armed terrorist group operating from the village of Ruzvyak in Afghanistan's Badakhshan province attacked employees of the Chinese road construction company China Road and Bridge Corporation, who were in the village of Shodaki in the Darvaz district of Tajikistan.

As a result of this attack, two Chinese citizens were killed, and two others were injured.
The GKNB emphasized that the Tajik leadership expresses serious concern and condemns such acts of violence, urging the authorities of Afghanistan to take effective measures to ensure security at the border and apprehend the criminals.

The agency also reported the introduction of additional measures to strengthen the border and protect both Tajik citizens and foreign nationals. However, specific steps have not yet been disclosed.

According to the GKNB, the situation at the border is currently stable and under the control of Tajik authorities, and investigations into the incidents are ongoing.

On December 1, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with security officials to discuss the protection of the Tajik-Afghan border. The press service of the head of state reported that in the past week, there have been two shooting incidents in this area, resulting in 5 deaths and 5 injuries.

Emomali Rahmon strongly condemned the illegal actions of Afghan citizens and instructed responsible officials to take measures to normalize the situation and prevent similar incidents in the future.
