The investigation uncovered an account named predator4407 in the Kyrgyz segment of Instagram and Threads. According to preliminary data, this user maintained connections with representatives of "destructive forces" located outside the country.
"Recently, he became more active in posting and commenting with destructive content, calling for the organization of mass riots aimed at a violent seizure of power, and also collected private information about some heads of state institutions," the statement said.
According to the GKNB, the detainee created more than 20 fake accounts on Instagram and Facebook, leaving provocative comments under news publications. This was likely done to manipulate public opinion and create a negative backdrop regarding the government's policies.
A case has been opened against the suspect under articles 278 ("Mass Riots") and 327 ("Public Calls for Violent Seizure of Power") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The name of the detainee is A.D.S., born in 1979, and he has been placed in the GKNB detention center.
The investigation is ongoing.
