In the Middle East, tensions are escalating due to the operation by Israel and the USA called "Lion's Roar," aimed at overthrowing the Iranian government.

The wife of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Mansoureh Khodjasteh Bagherzadeh, has died from injuries sustained during missile strikes in Tehran. She passed away in the hospital.

It is worth noting that Khamenei himself was killed on February 28, and his funeral took place the day before.

Israel has also begun military actions in Lebanon against the Hezbollah group.

According to IRNA, Israeli attacks have resulted in the deaths of at least 171 schoolchildren in Iran.

France has announced its intention to increase the number of nuclear warheads in its arsenal.



Explosions have rocked Baghdad, affecting a military base used by the international coalition led by the USA, reports Al Hadath. This airport had already been subjected to missile fire in 2020 during protests against the US embassy.



The USA has evacuated all personnel from its embassy in Jordan, citing security threats.



Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz, as confirmed by representatives of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. An advisor to the IRGC commander stated that Tehran will attack any vessels attempting to cross the strait.

“We will strike any ship that tries to pass through the strait,” he added.



US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the US operation was necessary as Iran had approached a critical point, possessing a significant number of ballistic missiles and drones, which could pose a threat to the entire world.

“Our goal is to neutralize Iran's ballistic missile capability and eliminate the threat posed by their navy to international shipping,” Rubio emphasized.

The Central Command of the US Armed Forces reported an increase in the number of American military casualties to six.



Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi emphasized in an interview with state television that Tehran has repeatedly warned neighboring countries that if the USA starts a war, the consequences will affect the entire Middle East.

“American bases become legitimate targets as they belong to the country that is attacking us. We do not attack our neighbors, only US military bases. Hiding soldiers in hotels will not protect them from attacks,” he added.

Since Saturday, the USA has struck more than 1,250 targets in Iran, according to data from the US Central Command.



Drones attacked the Ras Tanura oil refinery in Saudi Arabia, which is one of the largest refineries in the Middle East.

The Iraqi group "Saraya Awliya al-Dam" used a kamikaze drone to attack a hotel in Erbil where American soldiers were staying, Reuters confirmed.

Earlier, the US State Department urged citizens to leave more than ten countries in the Middle East due to threats from Iran, including Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, the Gaza Strip, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the UAE, and Yemen.

“The most serious strikes against Iran are yet to come,” Marco Rubio stated.

A fire broke out at the US embassy in Riyadh following an explosion.

According to AFP, loud explosions can be heard in the diplomatic quarter of Riyadh, and smoke can be seen where embassies and residences of foreign diplomats are located.
