Eldar Suimanov, a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, has once again spoken out regarding the allegations of domestic violence made by his ex-wife Asel Azamatova.
The parliamentarian claims that he has never resorted to physical violence against his former wife and considers these allegations an attempt to create a false impression of him against the backdrop of the current issue of domestic violence.
Suimanov recounted that he and Asel met in 2016 and soon after created a family, in which they had three sons. He noted that their relationship involved verbal conflicts, which, in his opinion, became increasingly tense over time. At the same time, the deputy asserts that in some situations, he was the one subjected to aggression.

He also reported instances of property damage, including to a car and windows in the house, as well as threats directed at him, including threats involving a knife and throwing objects. Suimanov emphasizes that it was these incidents that led to the final breakdown of their relationship.
According to him, conflicts with Asel occurred even in public places and often required the intervention of law enforcement. He noted that public condemnation for such situations sometimes fell on him.
In 2023, the couple divorced, and Suimanov stated that after the divorce, he left his ex-wife an apartment in Bishkek, continuing to fully support their children and provide financial assistance to Asel Azamatova. He also noted that he financed their education, clothing, and leisure, including trips abroad.

Suimanov stated that in May 2025, they attempted to restore their relationship, but the attempt was unsuccessful. Nevertheless, he continued to assist the children and their mother.
Discussing the current situation, the deputy expressed the opinion that the allegations against him are unjust and stem from an emotional state following the divorce. He urged the public to avoid harsh judgments and reminded that this is a private family matter.
Eldar Suimanov noted that his statement is the last public comment on this issue. He also emphasized that, despite the conflicts, Asel Azamatova remains the mother of his children and requested that no offensive remarks be made about her.
It is worth noting that earlier, Asel Azamatova reported on social media numerous instances of violence by her ex-husband, a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh.
The Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek confirmed that an investigation is underway regarding this case, and a protection order was issued against Asel.
Eldar Suimanov himself previously stated that the allegations are one-sided and require legal assessment.
