A criminal case has been initiated against Suyunbay Aliyev, who served as the director of the state enterprise "Kyrgyzpharmacy" from February 2024 to January 2025. Several charges have been brought against him. At a press conference on November 18 at AKIpress, Aliyev's lawyers appealed to the president, the chairman of the State National Security Committee (GKNB), and the country's prosecutor general.

Nurlanbek Sharipov, one of the lawyers, reported that Aliyev was detained on September 30, 2025, on suspicion of abuse of office and remained in custody for a month. However, on October 22, the Bishkek City Court replaced the measure of restraint with house arrest.

The lawyer mentioned that on the same day, the investigative service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs summoned Aliyev again, and investigative actions took place from October 22 to 24, although they were not formally conducted. On October 25, he was hospitalized due to a deterioration in his health, and on October 27, he was again summoned to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for new charges, but the Pervomaisky District Court once again released him under house arrest.

Baktybek Avtandil, another lawyer for Aliyev, stated that his client has been "faced with unfounded serious charges of abuse of office, forgery, concealment of a serious crime, and fraud." He added that the investigation is not objective, claiming that the company suffered damages of over 26 million soms, which is not supported by any economic conclusions.

Janyshbek Barakov, another lawyer, noted the presence of violations by the investigative service. Despite the court already changing Aliyev's measure of restraint to house arrest, the investigator continued to initiate new criminal cases. He also pointed out the lack of necessary investigative actions: witnesses and Aliyev himself were not interrogated, and facts were not verified. "These actions violate the procedure for investigating a criminal case and the requirements of the Criminal Procedure Code," he said.

The lawyers are appealing to President Sadyr Japarov, GKNB Chairman Kamchybek Tashiev, and Prosecutor General Maksatbek Asanov to take personal control of the case, conduct an objective and impartial investigation, and transfer the case to the investigative body of the GKNB to avoid conflicts of interest and bias.
