As the publications found out, the lack of clothing and documents complicated the identification, but forensic experts were able to determine that it was a 41-year-old woman from one of the Central Asian countries, who arrived in Russia in 2023 and worked in a shopping center in Yekaterinburg.
According to preliminary data, her son killed his mother on the night of October 20 due to family conflicts. He confessed to two relatives about what he had done, who did not dare to report the crime to the police. During the interrogation, the suspect explained his actions by saying that he was used to killing livestock, and it had become a routine for him.
“The arrest took place at his residence. He was confident that he would remain unnoticed, as he had disposed of the victim's head and hidden the clothing. Despite the fact that the mother and son lived separately, conflicts often arose between them. According to one version, he could have lured his mother to the park under the pretext of taking her to a new apartment. However, on the way, he decided to put an end to the constant reproaches,” commented Valery Gorelykh, head of the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Sverdlovsk region.
