According to preliminary data, the murder occurred in the Southwest Forest Park near a gas station. On October 30, the body of the woman was found by a passerby, who notified the authorities about the discovery.
The investigation established that the victim was the mother of a 21-year-old man, who was detained on suspicion of the crime. According to his confession, he killed his mother due to constant conflicts between them. To cover up the traces, he cut off her head.
According to URA.RU, the woman and her son moved to Yekaterinburg from Kyrgyzstan in 2023. The woman worked in a shopping center, while her son did not have a permanent job. During the interrogation, the suspect explained that there was nothing unusual for him in committing such an act, as he had previously killed livestock.
After committing the crime, he told two relatives about his actions, but they did not dare to contact the authorities, fearing the consequences, as reported by the press secretary of the Sverdlovsk Regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, Valery Gorelykh.
“The suspect shared his crime with relatives, but they were afraid to report it to the police. There were four other people in the apartment where he lived,” Gorelykh added.
In the coming days, a decision will be made regarding the measure of restraint for the suspect.
