The body of a woman was found in a forest park
In Yekaterinburg, a 21-year-old son became the murderer of his mother, reports the Russian press. The suspect has already been detained.
The woman's body, unclothed and showing signs of violent death, was found in the Southwest forest park, near a gas station. A passerby discovered the body during a morning run. The victim's head was found in a bag 200 meters away, along with her personal belongings.
According to the investigation, the murder may have occurred on the night of October 20. The suspect, the biological son of the victim, thought he could escape punishment as he had decapitated her and hidden the clothing.
“The young man was interrogated during the investigation and confessed to the crime. With his help, an additional examination of the crime scene was conducted, during which he accurately indicated not only the location of the body but also the place where the victim's head and personal belongings were found,” the Investigative Committee reported.
According to media reports, the victim, born in 1984, came to Russia from Kyrgyzstan in search of work and was employed at a shopping center in Yekaterinburg.
It has been preliminarily established that the motive for the murder was the hostile relationship between mother and son, who often quarreled despite living in different rented apartments.
According to Valery Gorelykh, head of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Sverdlovsk region, the son lured his mother to the park to show her his new apartment, and it was there that he committed the crime. After the murder, he told two relatives about what he had done, but they did not contact law enforcement.
The suspect is currently detained and is in a temporary detention facility. The issue of a preventive measure in the form of custody is under consideration.
