A criminal case has been initiated by the prosecutor's office
In the Aravan district of the Osh region, employees of the Veterinary Service were caught conducting illegal inspections and extorting money from local entrepreneurs. This was reported by the General Prosecutor's Office of Kyrgyzstan.
As prosecutors found out, on October 4, 2025, the head of the regional department of the Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service for the city of Osh and the Osh region, S.E., and the chief inspector, M.K., conducted unreasonable inspections of trading facilities and meat shops in the Aravan district without the appropriate permits, demanding money from business owners under the pretext of "identified violations."
Based on these facts, the prosecutor's office of the Aravan district initiated a criminal case under Article 337 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic ("Abuse of official position"). Necessary investigative actions are currently underway.
