According to law enforcement agencies, on December 5, 2025, O. A., born in 1978, contacted the Uzgen District Internal Affairs Department. She reported that her husband K. A., while in a state of alcohol intoxication, had a scandal at home and began to beat her.
Following the report, a preliminary investigation was initiated. During the investigation, it was revealed that K. A. had previously repeatedly used violence against his wife. Based on the collected materials, a criminal case was initiated against him under Article 138 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic "Torture".
A suspect in domestic violence against his wife has been detained in Uzgen.
On January 24, 2026, K. A., born in 1974, was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. Currently, investigative actions are ongoing.
