A man was detained in Tokmok for beating his mother while in a state of alcohol intoxication. This was reported by the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Chui region.
A 47-year-old woman, I.A., born in 1976, filed a complaint with the law enforcement authorities. She approached the Tokmok Police Department for help regarding the actions of her son, 31-year-old I.S., born in 1992. In October 2025, while at home, he caused a scandal during which he beat her and broke her left arm.
According to the forensic medical examination, the harm caused to the woman was classified as less serious.
Based on the incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 177 (Domestic Violence) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, the suspect I.S. was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation is ongoing.
