According to Azamatova, the situation became critical when her ex-husband took office as a deputy in early 2022. She described her suffering and experiences, noting that during the summer months of 2022, after one of the beatings, she required hospitalization. Despite filing a report with the police, Asel claims that law enforcement showed no interest in her condition and did not contact her.
The woman admitted that at one point she forgave Eldar because she was financially dependent on him. However, the constant alcohol binges, infidelity, and violence continued, prompting her to initiate a divorce.
Asel also shared photographs showing her bruises.
In her latest appeal to law enforcement, made on April 6, 2024, she reported a brutal beating that occurred in front of three children. A forensic examination confirmed the presence of bruises and a bald spot on her head caused by hair pulling.
Asel Azamatova emphasized that she seeks for Eldar Suimanov to stop the harassment, psychological pressure on the children, and threats to take them away from her.
It should be noted that the deputy has not commented on the situation yet.
The city police department promises to provide clarifications later.
