According to reports from the police of the United Arab Emirates, Russian law enforcement agencies were informed about the discovery of the bodies of Roman Novak and his wife Anna. This information was published by the outlet "Meduza".

Initially, it was reported that the bodies of the couple had been dismembered and placed in garbage containers near a shopping center. However, this information was later refuted. The burial site was established based on the testimonies of the detained individuals, and the police searched an area of desert measuring 500 by 500 meters.

According to sources, the remains of the body were not dismembered. They were found in plastic bags filled with chemical substances. Currently, the process of transferring the remains to Russia for burial is beginning.

Three suspects have been detained in St. Petersburg in connection with the murder of Novak and his wife, among whom is Konstantin Shakht, who is believed to be the organizer of the crime. Two suspects have confessed their guilt, while Shakht denies the charges. The mastermind behind the murder has not yet been identified.

The couple was killed in October in the UAE. They were lured to a rented villa in the city of Hatta under the pretext of meeting potential investors, where they were tortured to obtain access codes to cryptocurrency wallets before being killed.

Roman Novak was the creator of the Fintopio app for quick cryptocurrency transfers, which raised about $500 million in investments, after which he disappeared, leaving investors without funds. "Fontanka" reports that Novak "repeatedly claimed to be a friend of Pavel Durov," while Baza adds that he "presented himself as a member of the board of directors of Telegram and deputy to the vice president of the app, Ilya Perekopsky."
