“It was her birthday, she voluntarily went with him”
Aзамат Токтоналиев, head of the Bishkek Department of Internal Affairs, shared fresh details about the tragic murder committed by a former police officer against his ex-wife.
According to him, the suspect completed his career in law enforcement in 2019, obtaining all necessary permits for the use of a traumatic pistol.
According to information, on December 23, the day of the official divorce, the former spouses met regarding the woman’s birthday. He came to her workplace with a cake and flowers, after which she agreed to leave with him. Information that she was kidnapped is not true.
The police have a video recording showing the woman calmly entering the apartment with flowers and a man. Later, the suspect called his son and stated that he and the mother had reconciled.
In Toktonaliev's opinion, the main reason for what happened was alcohol intoxication. Between 8:30 PM and 9:00 PM, a quarrel occurred between them, after which the woman called her sister, who, in turn, called the police.
The police were able to track the suspect's location thanks to the "Safe City" system. When they arrived at the specified address, the apartment door was not opened, and they had to enter through a window. Inside the apartment, they found a drunken man and the body of the woman.
It is worth noting that the sister of the deceased had previously reported to the police that the ex-husband had taken the woman after work. On the same day, the couple officially divorced. As a result of the tragedy, the woman died from a gunshot wound, leaving behind two children.
The suspect led an active lifestyle, was interested in bodybuilding and social media, and even attempted to run for the Bishkek City Council in 2021.
