The suspect may be linked to cyber fraud
According to information provided by the press service of the Bishkek City Police Department, a woman reported to the police that fraudsters, posing as employees of the National Bank via WhatsApp, deceitfully obtained her funds amounting to 974,200 soms.
During operational activities, police officers found out that the detained individual opened a bank card and handed it over to third parties, which enabled the criminals to carry out fraudulent actions.
In connection with these events, a criminal case has been initiated, and the suspect has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
The police remind that the issuance of bank cards for criminal purposes, known as "dropping," is a criminal offense.
