A former police officer is suspected of murdering his wife. He has been detained.
According to the press service, a signal about the incident was received by the 102 service, after which an investigative operational group and the leadership of the Sverdlovsk District Internal Affairs Department went to the scene.
It has been preliminarily established that a conflict occurred between the woman, born in 1978 and known as U.J., and a man, born in 1977, U.B., during which the latter shot the victim six times. The woman died at the scene from the gunshot wounds.
The suspect U.B. was detained by police officers and placed in a temporary detention facility. It has been reported that at the time of the crime, he was in a state of alcohol intoxication. Additionally, the department noted that rumors of a possible abduction were not confirmed.
According to information from the media, citing their sources, it is known that the deceased had previously contacted the police regarding domestic violence.
“U.J. came to Bishkek and filed a complaint with one of the Internal Affairs Departments in the Sverdlovsk District. She was issued a protection order, but later the case was transferred to Balakchi, where the crime was committed,” a source told one of the publications.
Investigative actions are ongoing.
The Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek reminded about the importance of monitoring cases of domestic and family violence and urged citizens to immediately report to the police in case of threats to life and health.
