The Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army died in an aviation accident over Turkey
In a tragic incident over Turkey, the Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army, Mohammed Ali-Ahmed al-Haddad, was killed. It became known in the morning that the private plane he was on disappeared from radar shortly after taking off from Ankara.

According to the NTV channel, the Falcon aircraft disappeared from sight approximately 70 kilometers south of Ankara, over the region of the city of Haymana.

Ali Yerikaya, Turkey's Minister of Internal Affairs, confirmed on X that contact with the aircraft was lost around nine o'clock in the evening local time. On board were al-Haddad and four other people who were heading to Tripoli.

The plane vanished from radar 40 minutes after takeoff, at an altitude of 10 kilometers. Later, its wreckage was found two kilometers from the village of Kesikkavak. Experts are working at the crash site to locate the black box and determine the causes of the disaster.

Libyan representatives were in Turkey for negotiations with the country's top military leadership. Libyan Prime Minister Abdel Hamid Dbeibeh expressed his condolences regarding the incident.

Libyan authorities confirmed that the body of Chief of Staff Mohammed Ali Ahmed Al-Haddad was found at the site of the tragedy. It is known that there were only five people on board, including al-Haddad.
