The investigation established that Ignat Kuzin was recruited by the Security Service of Ukraine. In April, he planted a homemade explosive device at the entrance of a residential building on Nesterov Boulevard in Balashikha, where the general lived. The explosion occurred on the morning of April 25, when Moskalyk was exiting the building, and he died on the spot.
It is worth noting that on April 25, there was also an explosion of a Volkswagen Passat in Balashikha, triggered by the detonation of a homemade device. The victim of this incident was Yaroslav Moskalyk, the Deputy Head of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia.
Two days later, in Turkey, a suspect in this crime was detained. The FSB of Russia reported that the explosion was orchestrated by Ignat Kuzin, born in 1983, who is considered an "agent of Ukrainian special services."
