The series, titled "The Other Side of the Coin," will present events at the front in a comedic light, and the main character, a veteran named Kuba, will be directed by Oleg Fomin.
According to Fomin, he aims to "preserve the truth" in his work. The idea for the plot came to him during visits to hospitals, where he interacted with wounded soldiers and received their blessing.
The script for the series was developed by Nikolai Sidorov, who is also a participant in the "SVO." The cast includes former cadets, among them Alexander Golovin, as well as actors from Moscow who have previously appeared in military films aimed at boosting the morale of Russian servicemen.
The premiere is expected to take place in 2026. According to preliminary data, viewers will see a mix of tragedies, propaganda, and comedic moments from everyday life at the front.
