The State National Security Committee detained a lecturer from the Polytechnic University in a case of document forgery








The State National Security Committee of Kyrgyzstan has uncovered a corruption scheme related to document forgery in the higher education system. The situation concerns the illegal transfer of students to the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razakov.

According to the GKNB, as a result of the investigation into the criminal case, it was revealed that some lecturers at KSTU were involved in the production of fake academic certificates and transcripts from foreign educational institutions. Based on these forged documents, about 200 students were unlawfully enrolled and transferred to this university.

During the investigative and operational activities, an associate professor from the department, Sh.A.A., was detained and is currently in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB KR.

Currently, operational actions are ongoing to identify other individuals involved in this crime among the university's faculty and administration.

The State National Security Committee emphasizes that all participants in the corruption scheme will be held accountable in accordance with the current legislation, regardless of their official position or social status.
