In Kyrgyzstan, a case of forgery of medical certificates of form No. 086, used for the examination of foreign citizens, has been uncovered, allowing them to extend their stay in the country. This was reported by the press service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).

On March 16, a Pakistani national named "A.M." was detained in Bishkek for selling ready-made medical certificates without the need for a genuine medical examination. These documents were intended for citizens of Pakistan and Bangladesh.

The investigation suggests that a doctor from the National Hospital, "I.T.V.", was also involved in this crime, facilitating the illegal activity.

During a search at the addresses where "A.M." lived and "I.T.V." worked, more than 160 forged medical certificates were found and seized, which were used to obtain visas allowing foreigners to stay in Kyrgyzstan.

The GKNB emphasizes that in the context of the outbreak of the "Nipah" virus in South Asian countries, which has a high fatality rate, the presence of foreign citizens in Kyrgyzstan without mandatory medical examination poses serious risks to the sanitary and epidemiological safety of the country, which is an important issue for national security.

In this regard, the GKNB urges foreign citizens to comply with the laws of Kyrgyzstan to avoid negative consequences.

Currently, additional operational-search activities are being conducted to identify other participants in the illegal migration channel.
