Due to the threat of the Nipah virus spread, the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan has decided to enhance sanitary and quarantine control.

At Manas Airport, additional preventive measures have been implemented for passengers arriving from India, where cases of the disease have been reported.

Deputy Minister of Health Ryspek Sydygaliev conducted an inspection of sanitary control on the flight from Delhi to Bishkek, emphasizing the need for prompt identification of infection symptoms.

On February 1, 158 passengers arrived in Kyrgyzstan from India. The body temperature of all passengers was measured, and no cases with elevated readings or epidemiological danger were detected.

The ministry noted that if a passenger's temperature exceeds 37.5 degrees Celsius, they will be immediately isolated and provided with necessary medical assistance. To date, the epidemiological situation in the country remains under control.

The agency also stated that preventive measures will continue.
