According to the agency, the suspects, referred to as representatives of "sportobshchak" — D.Zh. and R.u.A., were detained in the capital. The investigation suggests that they organized illegal collections from drivers, particularly foreign nationals.
During the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the suspects systematically extorted money for 15 years, using threats and physical violence against drivers transporting goods from the "Dordoy" shopping complex to other countries.
According to the GKNB, a specific amount was charged for each bag and cargo vehicle.
D.Zh. had previously not been held criminally liable due to connections in law enforcement agencies. It was also established that he had ties with representatives of the criminal environment, including individuals associated with the organized crime groups of Kamchybek Asanbek and Rysbek Akmatbaev.
The Main Investigative Department of the GKNB has initiated a criminal case under Article 261 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The detainees have been placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB.
Currently, operational and investigative actions are ongoing to identify other possible participants in this crime.
