Among those detained was G. M., born in 1977, also known as Musa, who is considered the founder of a stable organized criminal group. Since 2012, they have been involved in extortion and robberies in the Jalal-Abad, Osh, and Batken regions.
The investigative authorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic have initiated criminal proceedings under Article 262 "Creation of a criminal community or participation in it" of the Criminal Code. During the investigation, information emerged that this group may have been involved in smuggling goods, drugs, as well as car thefts carried out through the Batken region towards Tajikistan.
Musa was detained in Bishkek, where a homemade revolver with six cartridges and a bag containing a white narcotic substance were found. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, he previously had several convictions for robbery, causing serious bodily harm, and extortion.
In the Osh region, other suspects in membership of the OCG were also detained:
- K. Y., born in 1984, with several convictions for robberies and extortion. A F-1 grenade and 8 grams of drugs were found in his house;
- O. A., born in 1992, previously convicted for kidnapping, causing bodily harm, and property damage. A sawed-off shotgun and 4 grams of hashish were found with him.

"It has been established that the mentioned individuals were part of the criminal group of Kamchy Kolbaev and maintained direct contact with the criminal authority Kadyirbek Dosonov, known as Jengo. They actively spread thieving ideology and were characterized by particular brutality. During further investigation, it was revealed that the detainees may be involved in the murder and robbery of an entrepreneur in Batken that occurred in 2014," the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
Currently, a preventive measure in the form of detention has been chosen for the detainees, and investigative actions are ongoing.
Recall that in November 2014, unknown individuals broke into a house in Batken, where, threatening with cold weapons, they demanded money and inflicted knife wounds on two citizens, after which they fled. The victims were taken to intensive care, but one of the victims later died from the injuries sustained.
