A 19-year-old resident of Kyrgyzstan's capital has been detained on suspicion of extorting 5 million soms.
According to information provided by the Internal Affairs Department of the October District, a citizen named M.A. reported to law enforcement. He stated that since January of this year, the girl had threatened him with violence and deprivation of liberty, exerting pressure to obtain a large sum of money.
Based on this report, a criminal case was initiated under Article 208 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning extortion.
As a result of investigative measures, the identity of the suspect was established; she turned out to be K.A., born in 2007. She was detained while attempting to illegally obtain 300,000 soms. Currently, the detainee has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation is ongoing.
