Employees of the October District Department of Internal Affairs detained a young woman suspected of extorting a significant sum of money. According to information from law enforcement agencies, she pressured a man, demanding several million soms.
The victim, citizen M.A., filed a written statement with the investigative service of the Department of Internal Affairs. In it, he indicated that since January of this year, the suspect named A. had been extorting 5 million soms from him. The man also reported that the young woman threatened him with violence and deprivation of liberty, as well as using other forms of psychological pressure.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 208 "Extortion" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the investigative activities and operational-search actions, law enforcement officers managed to establish the identity of the suspect. She turned out to be K.A., born in 2007. She was detained while receiving 300,000 soms, which confirms the facts of extortion.
After the arrest, the young woman was placed in the temporary detention facility of the capital's Department of Internal Affairs, and investigative actions continue.
