The suspect was caught while receiving 80,000 soms
A person suspected of extortion has been detained in Bishkek, as reported by the Main Internal Affairs Directorate.
On January 19, 2026, a citizen named B.D. filed a written complaint with the Internal Affairs Department of the Oktobrskiy District. He reported that unknown individuals, threatening him, demanded 150,000 Russian rubles, claiming it was a debt owed by his girlfriend.
Based on this complaint, the Investigative Service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Oktobrskiy District initiated a criminal case under Article 208, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (extortion).
During the investigation, it became known that a citizen named Ch.T., born in 1994, was involved in this crime. He was caught in the act while receiving 80,000 soms from the victim.
After the arrest, citizen Ch.T. was taken to the Investigative Service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Oktobrskiy District and then placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate under Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Currently, investigative actions regarding this criminal case are ongoing.
