In Bishkek, the police detained a man suspected of extortion. He was caught red-handed while receiving 80 thousand soms, according to information from the Internal Affairs Department of the Oktobrskiy district.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 208, Part 1 (Extortion) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
A report to the police was made by a citizen named B.D. He stated that he was threatened by unknown individuals who demanded 150 thousand Russian rubles, citing a non-existent debt of his girlfriend. Due to the threats, the man requested assistance.
During operational investigative activities, police officers identified the involvement of a 29-year-old citizen, Ch.T., in this crime. He was detained at the moment of receiving the extorted funds. The suspect was placed in a temporary detention facility.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing to clarify all the circumstances of the case.
