Extortionists Arrested
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the perpetrators who demanded 100 thousand dollars from a man have been arrested. The information was provided by law enforcement agencies.
Citizen N.A.E. contacted the police for assistance, reporting that Svetlana and her accomplices posed as law enforcement officers. They accused him of a hostile takeover of a business and threatened to publish compromising video materials in the media and on social networks, which could seriously damage his reputation and dignity.
For the "resolution of the issue," the extortionists demanded 100 thousand dollars.
The Investigative Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has opened a criminal case regarding the extortion in accordance with the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspects have been arrested and taken to the police station.
