
A destructive group has been identified
In Kyrgyzstan, a group intending to organize rallies and incite riots after the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh has been uncovered, as reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to law enforcement agencies, the group included former deputies, political activists, as well as former civil servants and law enforcement personnel. They attracted supporters, including organized criminal groups and sports associations, to carry out provocations and violent actions. The entire activity of the group was organized according to a strict hierarchy with a clear distribution of roles. Their plans included the participation of coordination groups that would put forward political demands, as well as criminal elements who were supposed to provide armed support.
“During searches, communication devices, firearms, ammunition, grenades, cash amounting to $150,000, documents confirming the financing of the riots, as well as action plans and narcotic substances were seized. Charges have been brought against the following individuals: A.U. (born in 1963), S.T. (born in 1998), A.Sh. (born in 1979), E.E. (born in 1983), M.D. (born in 1984), Sh.T. (born in 1986), A.K. (born in 1993), A. u. E. (born in 1993), K.N. (born in 1993), and K.K. (born in 1970). They are accused under the article “Preparation for organizing mass riots accompanied by violence, pogroms, arson, and so on” of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. All detainees have been placed in a temporary detention facility,” the ministry reported.
Investigative activities are currently ongoing to identify other participants and accomplices of the destructive group.
