
Two employees of the Internal Affairs Department of Osh region were detained by the State Committee for National Security in cooperation with internal investigations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This occurred at the moment they were accepting a bribe, according to information from the press center of the State Committee for National Security.
The detention took place on November 22 as part of an already initiated criminal case, where the amount of extortion was 300 thousand soms.


During the investigation, it was established that an inspector from the licensing system of the Aravan District Internal Affairs Department (Police Lieutenant Colonel M.Zh.A.) and an investigator from the Nookat District Internal Affairs Department (Police Major S.A.Sh.) extorted money from a citizen for assistance in obtaining a favorable decision in the context of a preliminary investigation.
At the time of detention, one of the detainees attempted to resist and even began destroying evidence by flushing part of the money down the toilet.

The detained employees were placed in the temporary detention facility of the State Committee for National Security. The investigation continues with the aim of documenting all details of the case and identifying other possible participants in the crime.
